Marcia Snedecor
Art is a visual and sometimes transcendent language that I am ever exploring. It is both liberating and challenging to work from my imagination and intuition. Using symbols and archetypes as touchstones, images emerge as visions from my soul. Much of my work evolves on the canvas in artistic leaps of faith. Sometimes I fail, but am sometimes rewarded with knowing I have created something ethereal and of the spirit. And spirit is elusive.
Marcia holds a degree in Fine Arts from Miami University. She has worked as a Registered Nurse and Licensed Independent Social Worker, both healing professions that shaped her life and informed her art. Her paintings have been widely published, collected and have won numerous awards.
She is currently represented by Franklin Anderson Gallery, Crystal River, FL.
